
The Pause Button Campaign is a youth sexual assault prevention poster and toolkit for an audience of 11-13 year-old boys. Its goal is to get boys thinking about the issue of sexual assault and the attitudes that reinforce a culture that accepts sexual assault. The poster and toolkit aim to reinforce boys' positive masculinity, respect boys' own moral compasses, and show boys how to not cross the line and commit a sexual assault. [1] Read more »

SAY SO! is a public event the Alliance created to raise awareness about sexual violence in NYC, and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence. SAY SO! not only brings sexual violence into the bright light of day, it uniquely stresses a positive message: celebrating healing and recovery of survivors of sexual violence.

Originally created as the Rape Treatment Consortium in 1995, the FHP's initial task was to review model sexual assault examiner (SAE), also known as Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE), programs throughout the country, and to create best practice standards that fit the realities of New York City. Advances in the collection of forensic evidence and the existence ofDNA databases have made the hospital the locus of medical and criminaljustice collaboration. As a result of these technological advances, the need to work in coordination with the criminal justice system hasbecome paramount.
