SEEKING SUPPORT?
The Alliance has compiled a number of resources available for survivors, their friends and families, and professionals assisting survivors in New York City. |
Sexual Assault Statistics for New York CityThe Alliance has identified that basic statistical information about sexual violence in NYC is not readily available or accessible. We also know that statistics are important. Statistics demonstrate the need for resources. Without them, it is difficult to make our case about the needs of sexual violence survivors and our communities. It is also difficult to address sexual violence as a public health and human rights issue that can be prevented. As a first step, we have collected the information we could obtain for 2008 to provide a starting point for addressing this issue.
