Populations served:

Survivors of child sexual abuse and adult survivors of child sexual abuse where parenting is negatively impacted by abuse issues, victims of physical abuse, neglect and child witnesses of family violence including:

  • NY Foundling clients.
  • males.
  • females.
  • significant others.
  • undocumented immigrants.
  • non-offending parents.

Please note the Foundling currently only serves clients in one of NY Foundling programs and does not serve children and families in the community.

Fees for services:

None.

Medical Services

  • Psychiatric evaluations only through the foster care diagnostic and residential facilities.

Advocacy:

  • Criminal justice advocacy through referring programs at NY Foundling.

Counseling:

  • Short-term individual.
  • Long-term individual.
  • Group counseling as scheduled.

Other Services:

  • Information and referral services.
  • Play therapy and art therapy for children.
  • Evidence based and evidence informed trauma models are utilized.

Educational / Training Services

  • Community education.
  • Professional trainings.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Childcare.

Special Considerations

  • Adolescents cannot receive medical / counseling services without parental consent.
  • We respect client confidentiality.
