The Alliance is launching an innovative public information campaign this summer to raise widespread awareness about the many comprehensive services available to sexual assault victims throughout New York City. The NYCDOH has certified 19 Emergency Departments as SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) Centers of Excellence. A multimedia campaign is being developed which will spread the message that free, private, compassionate, and victim-centered care is available at these centers. [Read more.]

Child and adolescent survivors of physical and sexual abuse within Queens County including:

Medical Services

  • On-site medical evaluation and treatment in non-emergent cases of reported sexual and physical abuse.

Advocacy

  • Criminal justice support/advocacy.
  • Other types of advocacy.

Counseling

  • Trauma assessment, supportive counseling.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Group counseling.

Other Services

  • Orientation.
  • Follow up with child or family member.
  • Emergency / practical assistance.
  • Forensic interview and evaluation.
  • Coordination with multi-disciplinary team.
  • Compensation claims assistance.
