The Alliance is launching an innovative public information campaign this summer to raise widespread awareness about the many comprehensive services available to sexual assault victims throughout New York City. The NYCDOH has certified 19 Emergency Departments as SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) Centers of Excellence. A multimedia campaign is being developed which will spread the message that free, private, compassionate, and victim-centered care is available at these centers. [Read more.]

Populations served:

Children from birth to 18 years who have been sexually or physically abused.
  • males & females
  • undocumented immigrants
  • non-offending parent

Fees for services:

Fees for some services. Intake is CVB reimbursement is utilized when applicable, or fee is waived.

Medical Services

  • Emergency Department advocacy, follow-up medical services, HIV prophylaxis, date rape drug testing
  • Psychiatric evaluations for children who are suspected of being abused and their families

Advocacy:

  • Criminal justice advocacy to survivors of rape/sexual assault, child sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Counseling:

  • Information and referral services to survivors of rape/sexual assault, child sexual abuse, domestic violence and sexual harrassment.
  • Referral only for short term individual counseling.

Educational / Training Services

  • Community education concerning rape/sexual assault and child sexual abuse to adolescents, adults, children and elderly.
  • Professional trainings concerning rape/sexual assault and child sexual abuse.

  • We respect client confidentiality.
